Born and raised in the snowy city of Sapporo, Japan, and now residing in Austin, Texas, Qrion takes inspiration from the robust environments at her whim. Melancholic, wistful, and dancefloor-minded, Qrion’s sound is multi-layered in its approach. Ranging from supple, soft exploratory works to driving house, and soul-sampling groovers, her touch is light and playful – evoking memories and feelings through sound. From her long-running relationship with Anjunadeep to her remixes for the likes of Booka Shade, Röyksopp, CRi, and more, her productions have drawn acclaim across dance floors globally.
There’s a reason why she was named on Forbes Japan’s 30 Under 30 list: since the inception of her musical career, Qrion has become a staple on revered labels such as Anjunadeep, Last Night On Earth, Mad Decent, Ultra Music, and more. Her one-of-a-kind style has garnered support from BBC Radio 1’s Danny Howard, and Pete Tong, and industry figures Anna Lunoe, Mall Grab, Todd Edwards, and Lane 8. Now, Qrion sets out on her second album tour “Under The Same Sky” across North America from January through March 2025.
